Over & Above Offering is a defining Sunday for Zoe each year. It marks the day where, as a church, we financially give over and above toward the three pillars of our community: the Church, Generations (Kids, YTH, College), and Zoe Cares. Together, our generosity goes far beyond any individual effort. We encourage you to pray and ask God what your offering will look like this year!
WHY “OVER & ABOVE”
Proverbs 3:9-10
Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
The idea of giving over and above is deeply rooted in Scripture. The Bible calls us to be generous and sacrificial in our giving, recognizing that everything we have comes from God.
2 Corinthians 9:7-8
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Exodus 35:21
And everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments.
